Circular brush seal providing superior air sealing performance
The GTA85 Air-Quiff was born from a customer’s requirement to accommodate more and larger cables through the existing installed GT085 cable grommet without having to disconnect and remove in-place cables. The circular brush replaced the original grommet lid and created a large brush seal which concentrates bristles towards the centre of the grommet. The single brush ring can be opened to fit around existing cables and the 2 part top section forms a retaining surface ring.
The standard GTA85 unit is a push-fit grommet and comprises of 3 parts:
- Outer Ring HousingÂ
- Brush Ring Insert
- Top Flange cover adhered to grommet
As the bristles are concentrated towards the centre of the grommet they form a dense brush seal which encapsulates cables forming a practical air seal. The grommet can be screw fixed to the floor surface using self-tapping screws. We can supply the grommet in individual parts with a peel and stick top flange but this is a special order and should be requested in that configuration. Alternatively please see GTA85N product featured on this site. The GTA85N shares the same outer housing as the GTA85 grommet. The GTA85N can also be supplied with a safety lid for installation prior to cabling.
The opening is large enough to facilitate almost all cabling requirements.
