The KGE270/FT cradle is designed to facilitate the installation of 2no. SIMON BOX IP66 floor outlets side by side within a raised floor or deck. The Simon IP66 outlets sit flush with the surround trim. The standard outlet is designed as a single socket unit. When 2 outlets are required side by side the KGE270/TF cradle is the solution. Made from 1.6mm thick stainless steel the cradle housing safely and securley holds the 2 outlets.
To ensure best performance the back boxes should be drilled and screwed to the base plate. The base plate of the cradle should also be drilled to create drain holes. We would suggest that a 50mm diameter hole is formed the base or side wall of the unit to allow for cable entry and IP rated gland. The standard KGE170 back boxes should also be drilled as advised to allow for any water that enters the back box resevoirs to drain away.
