The KGE270/FT cradle is designed to facilitate the installation of 2no. SIMON BOX IP66 floor outlets side by side in a raised floor or deck. The complete Simon IP66 outlets ( Top section and back box ) sit flush within the surround trim. When 2 outlets are required side by side in a raised floor the KGE270/TF cradle is the solution. Made from 1.6mm thick stainless steel the cradle housing safely and securley supports the 2 outlets.
To ensure best performance the back boxes should be drilled and screwed to the base plate. The base plate of the cradle should also be drilled to create water drain holes. We would suggest that a 50mm diameter hole is formed the base or side wall of the unit to allow for cable entry and an IP rated cable gland. The standard KGE170 back boxes should also be drilled as advised to allow for any water that enters the back box resevoirs to drain away.
